About Anani
Hello and welcome! I’m Meghna Sharma, the heart behind ANANI. Our journey began with a deep love for India’s rich cultural heritage, and today, ANANI is more than just a brand, it’s a celebration of the beautiful craftsmanship, stories, and traditions that make up our diverse country. I’m so glad to have you with us as part of our growing family.
My Journey
Starting ANANI wasn’t something I planned it was a leap of faith born from my passion for Indian textiles, regional prints, and the unique stories each state tells through its crafts. Growing up in different parts of India: Assam, Rajasthan, and now Jaipur gave me the privilege to witness first-hand how each place has its own way of weaving culture into its attire. From the serene silks of Assam to the bold colors of Rajasthan, I felt a strong pull to bring these elements together.
What started as a personal exploration of culture slowly turned into something much bigger. I had no formal training in fashion, but my heart knew this was the path I needed to take. ANANI started small, with pieces curated from local artisans who shared my vision. With time, my understanding of fashion grew, and so did the vision for ANANI a brand that celebrates not just clothing, but the soul of India, stitched into every garment.
Why “ANANI”?
ANANI means cloud something that changes with every season. Just like clouds, ANANI brings something new each season, while always staying true to its roots. This idea of constant renewal and connection to nature is at the heart of the brand, representing the fluidity of tradition and the beauty of new beginnings.

Vision
To create clothing that celebrates India’s diverse cultural heritage, blending traditional crafts with modern design, while empowering the artisans who bring these stories to life.
Mission
At ANANI, we aim to create timeless, sustainable pieces that tell the stories of India’s rich traditions. We are committed to supporting local artisans, particularly women, by providing a platform for their craft and ensuring that every garment we make is a blend of beauty, quality, and cultural significance.
